Privacy Policy – Sitta

Sitta ("the app") is operated by Mimi Tantono. This page explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Information We Collect

• Email address — used to create and authenticate your account.
• Display name — derived from your email, shown to your Circle.
• Session data — duration and timestamps of your meditation sessions.
• Device timezone — used to deliver nudge notifications at appropriate local times.
• Push notification token — used to deliver in-app notifications from your Circle.
• Contact email addresses — only when you tap "Allow" on the contacts disclosure on the Invite screen. The email addresses from your phone's contacts are sent to our servers to check which of them already belong to Sitta users so we can show them in your invite list. We do not read or transmit names, phone numbers, addresses, photos, or any other contact field. The email list is used only for this matching query and is not stored, sold, shared, or used for marketing.

We do not collect location data, payment information, biometric data, browsing history, or any data not listed above.

How We Use Your Information

Your data is used solely to operate the app: authenticating you, tracking your meditation sessions, calculating streaks, matching your contacts against existing Sitta accounts, and enabling Circle features between users who have mutually connected.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-Party Services

Sitta uses the following services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Supabase (database and authentication): supabase.com/privacy
• Google Firebase (push notifications): firebase.google.com/support/privacy

Data Retention and Account Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing us with the subject line "Delete My Account". We will process your request within 30 days.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, the new version will be posted at this URL with an updated date.
